My husband and I who are "oldies" booked the Target Inn on the web for a stay of 3 days and hoped that it came up to our expectations and we were not disappointed. The Inn is in a complex with other B&B it has seven rooms and is quiet.
The Inn was on the 3rd floor and the day we arrived the lift was broken - the manager personally carried our bags up to our room - a supreme effort fortunately the lift was quickly repaired. The twin room was large, modern and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed and immaculately clean. The breakfast was brought to our room daily and was basic but adequate. The TV had cable and English channels.
The management and staff spoke good English and assisted us in every way including helping us with our problem of having to get replacement credit cards for one's that we had had to cancel.
Target Inn is very well situated being just around the corner from Via Nazionale and the Republic handy to transport and restaurants. There is a Target Restaurant situated on the corner of the street and we were impressed with the service and menu choices.
We would recommend Target Inn for its price, comfort and warm welcoming staff.

Where I'm coming from: I agonized over our family's first trip to Italy and where to stay with our 2 small children. I prefer plastic cups sealed in plastic over glasses because I know they're clean (yes, the Target Inn has them). I scoured reviews and websites and happily found mention of the Target Inn on Rick Steve's blog. Its tripadvisor ranking is on target (couldn't resist). If you want an old world feel, this is not the place. I was happy to have a contemporary environment with a spacious feel (esp. by European standards but even by US standards) in the Junior suite. I did my comparison shopping and when I contacted Stefano, I thought he gave us a good deal, esp. since the exchange rate is horrible right now.
Excellent capuccinos prepared by AJ and delivered to your room with croissants and toast at whatever time you request - how much more convenient can you get? I would eat or feed the kids while my husband showered. Everything was clean though I did notice some dust bunnies under the furniture (with small children you're always looking under things for stray items) and the kids socks would show the floors could benefit from a wet swiffer. For adults, they provide slippers so that's not an issue and they provided a little bag of toiletries, including toothbrushes in case you forget yours.
The location is very convenient to the Metro. We never ate there, but if you needed it, there's Mickey D's right above the Metro stop. Jr. Suite had a convenient mini fridge. Since this was our first trip to Rome and we were with small children we had a car service take us to the hotel from the airport with all our luggage. Farmacia just 2 doors down and a bank. Lots of shopping around the corner. All the staff spoke English. We didn't have time to watch any TV until the last night but they offer some English channels without a surcharge. Even though it's a different owner, the Target Inn Restaurant at the corner even gave us a little discount on our meal when we mentioned we were staying at the hotel.
If I were traveling with my family again, I would definitely return to the Target Inn.
