Hawthorn Suites Lake Buena Vista - Orlando, USA 

stayed during may/june for 2 weeks. location was excellent close to both disney & universal . breakfast was changed each day with - cereal, eggs(of some description), toast, sausage or bacon, with either muffin or waffles, yoghurt or fruit. only made it once to the free wine/ beer evenings but it was constantly re-filled. excellent value! reception staff could have been more friendly but who cares when you are just walking past! however the waiting on & maids could not have been more helpful. my son hurt his toe & the staff on breakfast duty rushed over with ice & sympathy. fantastic space in the room with the separate lounge area so adults could stay up at night without disturbing the kids & in the morning when 1 of my 3 children got up it didn't have to disturb the others much needed sleep. kitchen area had full size fridge, 2 hobs, microwave but no oven. walking distance to carvery, pizza, steakhouse & chinese. amazing holiday & would definately go back to this hotel.

I have been lucky to visit Orlando 9 times and this is the only hotel I have been back to. I love the rooms as you have a seperate room from your bedroom that includes a kitchen/dining area with a lounge and TV. Your not going to do much cooking, but the fridge/freezer and microwave are useful. I don't know why anyone would complain about the breakfast, you have a selection of cereal, muffins, toast and hot breakfast along with fresh fruit. Also, hot and cold drinks are available. You also have from Mon - Thurs 5.30 p.m. - 7.30 p.m. free beer and wine. So after a hard day at the parks - what a great time to chill by the pool with a drink. I think it is a great location, more so if you have a car, as really easy to get to Universal, Sea World and Disney is just down the road. Don't worry if you haven't got a car, you are only 5 minutes walk away from plenty of restaurants and bars. As for the staff they all work hard and always have a smile on their face. Thanks especially to Bernard for getting me the UFC results on the internet and thanks to Mike for the basketball tips. Yes they also have a basketball court to work off some of those burgers and chips you eat in the parks. The pool is ideal, as it is just the right size for keeping an eye on your children whilst you can relax at the side. We have a 6 & 4 year old and because the hotel isn't massive they got to meet the same friends each day, I feel if you stay in a large hotel you are just a number and the staff don't get to remember you (so not the same personal service). I didn't really want to write a review as I didn't want a problem when trying to book next year, but I'll take my chance! I've stayed in 7 other hotels in the tourist area of Orlando and this one is the best by far - don't get the Hawthorn Suites LBV confused with the one by Sea World, as the Sea World one is okay but not nearly as nice.
