Mar Rosa del Mar - Palmanova, Spain     

I have previously stayed in this hotel a few years back and so was looking forward to returning. Big Mistake! The hotel has gone downhill very badly. The hotel room was basic and clean(ish), but had broken equipment, cracked tiles, broken lights and a leak dripping onto our balcony. Also, the hotel promotes that each room has air conditioning and yes it does have the unit but the hotel manager refuses to turn it on until it is 27 degrees at night-time??? Why I was paying for air con and not being given it was a joke. We took the temperature in our bedroom at night and it was over 40 degrees, very uncomfortable but denied any air conditioning our whole stay. 6 of the 7 nights I was woken up with loud groups of teenagers in the hallway, fighting, screaming and banging on each other's doors. I called the one receptionist who was no use as he came upstairs and was promptly punched by the drunk lout. Palma Nova is absolutely beautiful, but don't ruin your stay by choosing this hotel!.

Just returned from a weeks stay at the Rosa Del Mar The hotel is nice and clean and any staff we spoke to were friendly enough , but a word of warning it was full of parties , groups of both sexes and they are not quiet , but you are a couple of mins from Magaluf so to be expected really. Studios are equipped with 2 single beds plus bed settee , tv with one english channel (cnn) , 2 ring stove, kettle , toaster, pans etc, fridge, balcony , there was air con but it didn't work! Maid service 5 times a week with clean towels etc , if you are concerned about noise do not ask for a sea view room as they all face papis bar which nice as it is it does get loud around 4am till 8am with the people coming back from town it think it might of been quieter with a pool view room. the beach is lovely 2 sunbeds and shade for 9euro a day , food all over the area is "english" rubbish which is a bit disappointing for us but if you like your chips you will love the area ! And it is not that cheap either these days with the average beer at 2.50euro a bottle, spirits about 5.oo euro a drink! All in all it is ok for a bit of sun for a few days it is just like england in the sun really, and if you can cope with the noise from the parties you will be fine , and if you can't then have a cocktail in papis and party with em!!
