Feeling Hotel Luise - Riva del Garda, Italy     

We’ve recently returned from a week’s holiday at the Hotel Luise in Riva Del Garda which we booked through Newmarket holidays flying from Aberdeen. Be under no doubt that this is a first class hotel with excellent accommodation, good facilities and polite efficient staff. It’s also in a good location just a ten minute walk from the town centre and the lakeside. Food was first class. Breakfast was buffet style and there was a good selection of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, pastries, fresh bread and wonderful scrambled eggs and bacon. Dinner was also buffet style with a wide choice of fresh meat, fish and pasta on offer each night all prepared in the local style with something for all tastes although curiously there were no chicken dishes offered during our week. Our room (No 110) was very modern, clean and well decorated. Room service was provided daily and was carried out to a high standard. We paid extra for an executive room with a front facing balcony but unfortunately, because we upgraded at the last minute we were allocated a first floor room which had no lake view. This would be our only complaint. Next time we’ll book earlier and go for a room on one of the upper floors. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel or using it again. We would also recommend Newmarket Holidays who we have travelled with 2 years running.

Good location; some view of the lake; good-sized rooms; nicely modernized. Wifi and free computer use. Very clean; good free parking; nice pool and gardens. Short walk to the lake. Desk staff adequate but a bit indifferent. Good (cold) breakfast. Overall, a good, reasonably-priced choice.
