Where to begin ... we were a party of 6. One double (for two), one twin and one double for a single person (someone else had already booked themselves in as they were on a different flight). Our room had pillows covered in - I hope - sweat stains. A broken pane in the wet-room/shower/toilet, a huge crack in the basin and the shelf that was supposed to be underneath the mirror was on the window sill. The 'extra' blanket was covered in 'something' - so it wasn't used and handed to receptionist (she also gave us a new pillow to use - so plus points there). The others in our party were equally unimpressed - downstairs the loo wouldn't flush properly, there was only one hair-dryer for the entire hotel and a lingering smell of damp. The other two people in their separate rooms weren't exactly enamoured with them either - probably should be single rooms but had a double-bed shoe-horned into the room. Was annoyed at the 5% surcharge for c/cards too .. if you want somewhere close enough to the town centre but far enough away from the noise then it's a nice enough hotel. But once you're in the room(s), it starts to go pear-shaped!

Location - Excellent, just round the corner from main areas. Hotel - Clean, plain, old. Room - Comfy bed, Wardrobe with 2 hangers inside, TV with loads of channels, we even watched Eastenders one night. Window view was of a building site at the back end of the hotel (not the hotels fault), we stayed in room 406. Service - The bedding was changed, the towels were taken but not replaced. Bathroom - Clean, good shower, decent sized mirror. Staff - Only ever saw one person sat behind reception, polite-ish. Other - Apparently there is a bar in the hotel but there was no signs or anything. Overall, if I was going to visit Amsterdam again I would pick the Quentin Hotel as it's all you need as you tend not to spend that much time there anyway.

"Do NOT Stay Here"
This hotel was likely the worst place I have ever stayed. Upon check-in, we were given a key to our room...
