Hotel Royal Prisco - Positano, Italy 

I stayed at Royal Prisco in May 2008, having looked forward to the visit for months. The hotel is well located, the people are very friendly and were very welcoming. The rooms are quite new and well appointed and very clean which was good. The hotel's website states that each room has (amongst other features) its own balcony overlooking the village and a safe. I was extremely disappointed to find that my room didn't have any balcony at all and didn't even have a window, the only natural light came from the skylight. It also didn't have a safe which was important to me and so that was most annoying. I had reserved a deluxe room and had paid extra money for a deluxe room to guarantee that I would have a balcony. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. There is no outdoor area at all at this hotel so in my case if I wanted to sit outside the only option was going to cafes or sitting across the road from the hotel. When I pointed out that I had paid for a deluxe room with a balcony I was told that the hotel was full and nothing could be done. The day I was leaving I overheard another couple talking to the owners about moving to a room which had a balcony, clearly theirs didn't either which means despite their claim that all rooms have balconies this isn't actually true.

Piacevolissima permanenza in questo piccolo hotel pieno di fascino. Coccolati dalle meraviglie del paesaggio e dalle premure della famiglia che lo gestisce, rappresenta un eccellente modo per trascorrere una vacanza in costiera. La posizione panoramica, la dotazione e la cura nell'arredo delle camere, le ampie terrazze nelle quali la mattina viene servita la colazione completano l'offerta di questa bella residenza d'epoca, interamente e sapientemente ristrutturata.
