Hotel Margherita - Praiano, Italy 

We spent two glorious weeks at this gem of a hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated, updated baths, individually controlled AC in your room and a staff that was delightful as well as efficient. Suela and Andrea and their two children (soon to be four) and Suela's Mom, Margherita live on the hotel grounds and keep everything running smoothly. It is definitely a family owned and operated establishment. Suela and Andrea are very knowledgable with regard to transportion, sightseeing, etc. They were always welling to be of assistance, and always with a smile. The food prepared by Chef and his assistant Pietro was absolutely delicious. We ate almost every evening meal at the Hotel...we feared that we would not be able to find better tastings in town. The breakfast buffet is lovely...cold meats, cheeses and local pastries, cereals, occasionally eggs, lots of juice and coffee or tea. Thank you Hotel Margherita for a truly memorable stay in Italy. We hope to return to visit again as soon as possible. Just a delightful hotel and it was a pleasure to meet the Hotel family. We felt like family after our two week visit. Ciao, until we meet again

Fantastic stay at Hotel Margherita. We stayed for three nights and had a lovely room with an amazing view. Andrea, the owner, was quite possibly the best hotelier you have ever come across. Ever so accomodating and happy to pick us up in town every evening, no matter what the hour. Hotel is in a great location - with a great view of the sea and nice and quiet at night. Easy access to amalfi coast towns beach by bus or foot. Hands down this is the best way to experience the Amalfi coast - and Praiano doesn't have the crowds of Positano or Amalfi.
