Villa Sangiovese - Panzano, Italy 

Booked on internet following a couple of good reviews in TA. Hotel immaculate and room spacious and comfortable with large bath and hand held shower. Our room overlooked the square but was not noisy. Great start to a few days motoring in Tuscany and Umbria. Public carpark nearby is freely available and only one space is available for unloading luggage next to the front door for a few minutes. No lift so luggage must be carried upstairs. Breakfast area lovely with great views and great selection of food buffet style. Restaurant attached is fairly priced and good so overall a very pleasant experience. No internet computer available except at a bar in the village was a problem for us but felt hosts were kind and personable and we would return.

We last stayed in Panzano over 10 years ago and thought it was a delightful place. It still is and the Villa San Giovese is an excellent hotel. We had not pre-booked and had a good room with a large terrace ( room 2 and also room 1) it was very clean with room for clothes, cases etc. The couple who run it are very friendly as are the staff. There is a lovely pool area, but it was too chilly for us to us in October. We would stay here again if we come back to the area.
