Location

Ostuni is a beautiful 'White City' (named after the colour of the houses in the historic centre) set on a hill overlooking the Adriatic coast. Nearby there are many famous tourist sights and cultural places including the following:

Cisternino: Just down the road from Ostuni, the origins of this town date back to the prehistoric period. You can see some of the ancient hunting tools in the Civic Museum.

Alberobello: All around the centre of this town are the characteristic 'trulli' districts, cone-shaped houses found only in this area. Have a look inside one of the many open doors to see what the insides are like or to visit the various artisan workshops contained within some of them.

Castel Del Monte: It is worth heading out to this impressive castle in the northern part of Apulia - it has an 8-sided central structure with octagonal towers at each corner.

Casa L'Ovile, situated in the Masseria, offering a friendly ambiance with very typical food (from June 15th to September 8th). It organises 2 dinners per week: a typical apulia dinner with a folkloric show, candle-lit fish dinner with live music.
La Sparacima, situated in the historical centre of Ostuni, offers an elegant ambiance in a small restaurant (just 20 tables) with regional dishes.
Don Chisciotte, situated in the centre of Ostuni, offers an informal atmosphere with very good, typical food.
Lido Bizarro, situated directly on the beach, offers fish menu in an informal ambience (open from May to October).

Gaetano and his staff were a delight, and we were 2 weeks in this restful Masseria in an olive grove beneath Ostuni. Newly renovated, the rooms were charming and L'ovile was great base to explore Puglia by car. It was a pleasure to get "home" after our excursions and enjoy a glass of wine in the relaxing setting. Highly recommended for rest and relaxation!!
