The Clipper is a well-situated and efficiently run hotel, convenient for the beach and very good value-for-money. Rooms are plain but clean and the management and staff friendly and helpful. Our only gripe was the beakfast coffee (from a machine) which was undrinkable. Pesaro has fine beaches and good bus and train connections as well as many reasonably priced restaurants and other excellent cultural atttractions. Visitors were of all ages, and mainly Italian, though with more than a sprinkling of German, French and British in evidence. Urbino is less than an hour away on the regular bus service. The tourist information office is very helpful and I'd recommend the weekly coach trip to the remarkable nearby Villa Imperiale.
