Caravaggio Hotel - Naples, Italy

My husband and I were in Rome for vacation. I picked Caravaggio based on location, price and user reviews. The room was very small, but we didn't spend much time there. The bed was VERY hard, but didn't bother us too much. The bathroom was quite small as most are in Italy. We had a very pleasant stay and the 24 hour front desk was very helpful.

We asked the hotel staff to meake a reservation for dinner at La Pergola, two days after when we went to La Pergola at Hotel Cavalliere now one had made a reservation. They phoned to our hotel but no one knew anything, very embarising for us. Took us long time and cost us a lot of money for nothing.

Room smelt of cigarette smoke, very dark and peeling wallpaper - felt damp. Shower falling off it's handle.

I've stayed just one night, but we were really happy to stay there. Since we arrived at the hotel the staff welcomed us with smile and we were informed everything that we wanted to know about Rome. The location is very good, walking distance to almost important sightseeing points and to the Termini station. We were invited also to the "happy hour" with some snacks, drinks, aperitifs in the evening at the reception (how beautiful it is.) during that we relaxed as we were at home talking with the hotel staff like a friend. The morning after we were served very delicious cappuccinos and fresh croissants by the getle young lady. we were sorry to leave that lovely place after one night. We are sure to go back to Hotel Caravaggio and recommend it to everybody who will go to Rome.

The hotel was a very convenient place to stay. At the reception alone they’ve provided me already a detailed city map with road index and metro lines table and the receptionist was well prepared in explaining to me how to reach easily all the places I wished to visit. The room welcomed me with its nicely decorated wall, flat TV with channels availble in different languages such as english, french, spanish, german and italian. The bathroom provides a complete comfort too, towels were briliant white and there was a shampoo, soap, shower cup, hairdryer, too. Most importantly, the room is very quite, suitable for those who would like to spend their vacation resting. On my check-out time, since i’d still had some time to go around before my departure, I could even deposit my luggage after checkingout, for all the day and free of charge! I can say that they do they work professionally where they have given me a five star treatment for a three star hotel price!
