Hotel Rex - Naples, Italy     

As an older woman traveling with a friend, we found the Rex to be safe, clean, and charmingly decorated. The staff was courtious and helpful. Very near nice resturants and shopping, it was conveniently located for our purposes. The view from our windows of the bay was lovely. Breakfast was served in our rooms at the time of our chosing. I will stay there again next time in Naples and definitely reccomend it to friends.

Easy to get to from the airport, just a 3Euro Bus ticket to Municipio and a 10min walk across Piazza del Plebiscito. Very friendly staff, simple breakfast in the rooms, very tidy and Air Con that works [it was 38 Degrees on my visit]. Has all the basics and is clean, all that you need when you are out all day sightseeing Santa Luica is very safe and has great restaurants on the coastline that is big with locals, so a real feel of italy, most restaurants have english language menus so a joy to dine. A walk along Via Francesco is great after a meal, very romantic spot with castel dell'Ovo. Popular with romantic italians on their mopeds. Also, if you are a keen runner, it's a nice place to run in the mornings.
