We had no problem with the hotel - it was basic with a poor breakfast but adequate and clean. The problem was Naples in general, we had a taxi driver from the station on arrival who was extremely intimidating and tried to rip us off even though I speak Italian. The hotel wasn't much help when we tried to find out the correct price from the station. There isn't much in the way of restaurants near the hotel. Naples is situated in beautiful, scenic surroundings but the city inself is dirty, noisy and everyone is trying to rip you off all the time. We found it tiring to have to be on the look out all the time for pick pockets, bag snatchers etc. Not a city I would ever return to - only the airport but would avoid downtown Naples like the plague!

Stayed for 4 nights with my mother. Hotel was quiet & very central for getting around & seeing the local haunts which suited us very well, easy for the bus, trains, port. Confortable beds & quiet. Lovely outside breakfast terrace which made up for the breakfast which was definately basic and the bar had run out of limoncello and grappa most strange for Naples! But overall we were fine. Not a hotel if you want something lively but fine if like us you are out all day & want something local & comfortable.

Reasonably nice hotel in a big city. The streets next to the hotel get pretty dark and shady at night - would not recommend walking alone there. Close to main bus line and busy shopping street on the other side.

We stayed in Naples 2 days. This hotel is situated not far from main city interesting and historical places. But it was be very noisy, so we couldnt sleep at night and asked for another room for next night. Next room was be better but very small. The breakfast was continental, very little for us.

Having stayed at this hotel previously, it was not my first choice, but a lot has changed over the years. I travel to Italy every year and this year I took my mother with as a gift to her. She's very picky so I was a bit concerned taking her here. She loved everything but the shower which was very small and slippery with no place to set down soap. She particularly liked the breakfast area and the man who worked the espresso machine. He spoke no English and she no Italian, but they got on well. The roof garden dining was not open because of the weather, but was quite lovely. There have been other improvements as well. It has a great location for sightseeing, shopping, the Molo Beverello where you catch the ferries to the islands and my favorite restaurant in Napoli is a couple of blocks away. Check out the cloister behind the hotel and the back alleys and shortcut to Santa Chiara. I would very much recommend it!
