The Grange Manor - Grangemouth, United Kingdom 3 star hotel

Address: Glensburgh, Grangemouth, CE FX3 8XJ
The Grange Manor details:  The Grange Manor has the look and feel of a country house hotel. Just minutes from some of Scotland's leading multinational companies.

A favourite with executive travellers and now increasingly the choice of discerning tourists, the hotel features an award winning restaurant - and a warm welcome from the Wallace family who own and manage it personally.

The Grange Manor was built in the late 19th Century for the factor (or agent) to the Earl of Zetland's local estates. The Earl's own house, long since demolished, was just across the way, although the Earl was seldom resident.

Whatever happened a hundred years ago, the building's more recent history has been as a hotel. Bill and Jane Wallace bought it in 1993. Over the years, the hotel has been transformed by the addition of a major extension at the rear and, most recently, a complete refurbishment of the bar and restaurant at the front.

This mirrors the Victorian features of the existing building so well that it is virtually impossible to see where original meets new. The new reception area is light and airy, with upholstered sofas and chairs arranged in conversation groups.
Guests often choose to linger here over a cup of coffee or tea while browsing through one of the complimentary newspapers.

We recently stayed at the hotel for 3 nights as a family for our wedding and family get together. The service, rooms and food were superb and I can whole-heartedly recommend this hotel for business or leisure. The rooms are large, well appointed and clean. Service is unobtrusive but very accommodating when required. Food was stunning with locally sourced ingredients and classy presentation. The bar is friendly with a fine selection of whisky and snacks. All together a very positive experience.

4 star hotel but great value for money if you get a deal. We paid ?80 for 2 nights B&B in total so cheaper than a motel at that price. The rooms are lovely with lots of space and well furnished with a cracking ensuite with power shower. The rooms are very clean and we had a good view of the garden as we were in the garden wing which is a seperate annex from the main building which means peace & quiet at night. Breakfast is fantastic and served in the conservatory from very helpful staff with a massive choice from the cold buffet and also full Scottish, kippers, smoked salmon etc. Good quality food. There is a bar/restaraunt called Wallaces which we ate in on the Friday night and the food was excellent with a varied menu and good service. Never used the hotel al a carte but it is supposed to be good. Only negative about the hotel is the bar which seems to have been an afterthought and we had to find someone to serve us so we only had 1 drink in it and went out both nights. All in all a great hotel if you get a deal but wouldnt pay the list price.
