Hotel Royal Palace - Montecatini Terme, Italy 

We have just returned from a week at the Hotel Royal Palace in Montecatini Terme, it was an outstanding experience! We traveled with a group of 45 senior citizens, we all loved the location of this hotel. It is just a short walk (about 10 minutes) to the Finicular to the top of Montecatini Alto, breath-taking views! It is also just a short walk to many stores, restaurants and the train station. It is also well situated for daily sightseeing throughout the area. We went to Venice, Siena, San Gimignano, Florence, Pisa, Prato, Lucca, and Pistoia. The hotel staff were so accommodating and the meals were excellent. We especially enjoyed the balcony off our room, sitting out in the evening watching other tourists explore the area.
