This place is in a horrible neighborhood, very remote from the city centre, and impossible to reach unless by taxi. If its raining, you will have a hard time getting here - or out. I am writing from a disgusting internet cafe down the street because the hotel has no computer. The hotel has great design, but ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE to offer. Unless you really HAVE to be in this neighborhood (its so poor and grungy i cant imagine why) DO NOT stay here! Its a four star hotel with two star service: two cans of soda in my minibar, no help with luggage, no amenities whatsoever, the workmanship is slick but cheap, small rooms and stuck in the middle of NOWHERE. Forget about cute cafes or shops nearby. I really wish I could check out - I just checked in an hour ago and cant wait to leave. Its a pity because I "splurged" on a nice hotel. Please dont make the same mistake!

Booked hotel via lastminute.com as one of their mystery hotels and got a bargain for £82 for double room for two nights. Staff excellant and if you do not want to try to speak Italian their English was first class. However make the effort it is worth it. Some people might not like the location too far out. But not for us, No 74 bus right outside, number 2 tram 5 mins walk to Porta Genoa metro straight into the centre. Buy a pass for the bus, tram metro 5.5 Euros for 48 hours. Hotel was clean tidy and breakfasy was excellant. Some people have complained about room when going for breakfast. Do as we did get down early gives you more time to explore Milan. You might find the hum from the air conditioning a bit annoying, but I am used to noise, didn't bother me. All in all an excellant hotel, with a lovely Pizzaria on the corner, with a very charming waiter, who will like to speak to you in English but will also love it if you try to speak Italian. Lidl across the road for the cheap wine, although at £5 for a very passable 1 litre house red in the pizzaria you can't go wrong. Stay here, trust me, from one who has spent many a night in hotels all over the UK.
