Hotel Cristallo - Milano, Italy     

The hotel is just minutes away from the Central train station, where the airport bus also stops. There are a couple of underground stations nearby which is very convenient. The room is OK for what you paid for. But my biggest problem was with the bathroom, in particular the shower. The shower cubicle is very small, I banged my elbow against the wall everytime I moved around, and I am not the biggest person! The water ended up all over the bathroom due to the size of the cubicle. You can't move the shower head either, which is pretty high up for me (I am 5'3). The water comes out hot and cold. You just can't take a proper shower. The left luggage is not locked, which I felt was very insecure as anyone can walk away with your luggage. This hotel is fine if you are on a budget and don't mind a rubbish shower.

I had a really enjoyable time at the Hotel Christallo. It was very central to all of Milan's great shopping and was overall clean and did the job of providing us with a good night's sleep on a budget. Ok the decor wasn't contemporary - it was quirky and I liked that it wasn't trying to be something it wasn't. Breakfast was also satisfactory and did the job! I would defiantly stay here again, whether it be with a group of girlfriends or my partner.
