1My husband and I stayed here for two nights in May and were horrified by the snobby hotel staff, something we didn't run into anywhere else in Italy. Their "double" bed isn't double sized, more like a large twin that doesn't fit two pillows wide. Since my hubby is over six foot, we were pretty cramped. The AC is a window unit, and ours made a terrifying racket. After it warmed itself, it sounded like it was falling out of the window every 15 minutes. But it was 90º outside, so we needed it on even at night, though it scared us awake. We got used to it, however; we'd shut it off, then wake stiflingly hot and turn it on again for another hour until it freaked out, repeatedly through the nights. Other than the AC issue, everything worked fine, though fixtures were old and spare. Hotel puts out a good breakfast and things were clean. The overall cost is far too high for the age of the rooms and furnishings, and the staff is dishearteningly unfriendly. It is a quick walk from the train station and easy to find, but the neighborhood is a bit sketchy, especially at night. I wouldn't stay here again.
