2Me and my girlfriend stayed two night at the Nhow in may.
I live in Rome and travel often to MIlan for work: the hotel is in the middle of nowhere (nwhotel.. is that why you chose the name?), distant from all the main Milano attractions or business areas.
The hotel is brand new, and the design is quite impressive. Check in was flawless. Our room was on the third floor overlooking.. a parking lot. The design was nice, but not really functional (designers for some reason seem to love making bathrooms and toilets with glass doors that don't really close.. so if you're going for n.2.. well.. your partner better go have a drink at the bar.. ).
The bed was comfortable, and the mini bar was well stocked. I loved the shower/tub with a really powerful "rain" effect.
The room (as many italian hotels that prefer making a few extra bucks more than have happy customers) was lacking a coffee maker and free internet access.
I had to attend an evening party, so i needed my jacket (wrinkled in the luggage) ironed. I called the reception, they said "it's policy" not to send irons to the rooms, but they had an ironing service that would pick up the jacket and deliver it in twenty minutes (at a cost) i said ok, but no one showed up.
Then i needed to print out a document from my email. Went down to the recption and asked if they could print it out. They said i could go (at a cost) to the business centre on the second floor. So i went, and wandered around the second floor looking for the damn place: no directions, no signs, nothing. Went back, they said: just take the corridor the the right, it's on the left. I went again, wandered another ten minutes but was unable to locate the place. The third time, they finally sent a bell boy with me, nice black gentleman who was the only really kind person i met in the hotel staff. While taking me to the hidden and mysterious business center he apologized and told me i wasn't the only person who had had that problem. I said the hotel seemed to have a managment problem (put a sign up saying "business centre", is it so hard?), he smiled.
The only really good thing about this hotel is the breakfast: amazing because of the location (full of light and charm), the variety of food, the quality. Maybe the best hotel breakfast i've had in Italy.
Would i go back? No, not really.
