Hotel Star - Milano, Italy     

I stayed at Hotel Star twice during a recent trip to Europe since we were flying in and out of Milan Malpensa. The first time I was alone and stayed in a small but very adequate single room on an inner courtyard so it was very quiet. Then I came back with my husband and teenage daughter and we had a double room with an extra bed located above the entrance to the hotel which was not as quiet but still fine. The bathrooms at this hotel are the highlight and I am a sucker for good toiletries which they provide. Treat yourself to a jacuzzi (in my double room but not my single room) after a long day of walking. This hotel is very close to the Cadorna train station which links to Malpensa. We had early flights and took a bus to the airport which takes about 45 mins for 11 Euros. There is also a train from Cadorna. The hotel is in an excellent location near the Duomo, La Scala and the Castello. I booked a tour at Zani Viaggi which gets you access to the Last Supper, Duomo, Castello and La Scala as well as a general city tour. The staff at Star are very nice and speak English fluently. Maria Victoria is especially wonderful. The decor is a trip and is kind of 70's retro but it works at Star. The hotel is very clean. I would return to this hotel in a heartbeat!
