We stayed at this hotel for two nights at the end of May, and had a terrific experience. Our room was very modern, with hardwood floors and a large bed with down comforter. Our room had double door windows that opened out on to a small balcony. The bathroom was of very good size - yes, the shower stall was rather tight, but my husband who is 6'2" managed. The hotel staff were very professional, and were able to answer all of our questions. We ate at a small restaurant called 'Cooking' that was about a block and a half away. They had the best pizza and calzone that we had during our entire stay in Italy! The breakfast room at the hotel was large, and there was plenty of food to choose from with cereal, croissants, fruit, and eggs and bacon (yes, eggs and bacon!). Overall our stay was very good, and I would return to this hotel. As for the area, there is not a lot nearby, but you can find some good restaurants and bars, and there is a grocery store just down the block (there was a fridge in our room). It is about a half-mile walk to the Metro stop, and was easy to navigate. We had no problems walking in this area -day or night. I would agree with other advice given about the train station - be on your guard. We did not have any problems, but still, be aware. Ask information for assistance, review maps (give you an automatic 'tourist' stamp on your head) out of the main walkways, hold on to your luggage/bags at all times. This goes double for the Metro. I did have an experience with a gypsy woman trying to put her hand in my purse. They wait for a very crowded stop, and push right up against you in the rush. Fortunately I felt that something was wrong, and instantly turned around. She got nothing, and would have not anyway, as all of my important things were in my waist belt (money, credit cards, passport). Invest in a waist belt, and wear it during your ENTIRE time out. It can be a bit of a pain, but is better to come home with your passport, money and credit cards in tact!

El Hotel cuenta con habitaciones de distinto tama?o. En la oferta deber?a mencionarse que hay habitaciones standard y otras m?s espaciosas para que el pasajero pueda optar. Las habitaciones externas son m?s c?modas y m?s silenciosas.

We stayed at this hotel 2 nights in May 2007. The hotel is located in a residential area not far from Milan's Central Railway Station. Cab fare was about 7 euro. Upon arrival we walked into the lovely foyer and had a very quick and painless check in (care of a very good looking reception boy - model perhaps?) and found our room on the 3rd floor. We opened our room and we almost died! After staying at the Royal National in London this was luxury! The room had two large stand alone twin beds and polished timber floor boards, the room was huge! The bathroom was brand new also all tiled with a large full sized bath and stand alone shower in the corner with jets!! A large closet with plenty of hanging & shelve space as well as an electronic safe which is very handy. Considering we go the room at 100 euro a night, we felt we found an absolute bargain! Area around the hotel is very quiet. Not a lot around except a fantastic gelato place on the corner a block down the street, followed by a fruit and vegetable grocer. Walk another 2 blocks down and you will find cafe's and the entry to the underground railway station. Hop on and its on the same line as the Duomo. Head up the street from the hotel and you hit one of the main streets with about 5 blocks of shops on either side, such as H&M and Promod and plenty of places to eat. Slept like babies in comfortable beds the whole of our stay. Breakfasts on both morning was good, with fruit, pastries, toast, cereals, juices, good coffee!! & cold meats and cheeses. Clientele of this hotel seems to be a lot of business travellers judging by the breakfast room. There are 2 computer terminals near reception with...... FREE INTERNET!! There is also a Bar open at night. All in all, we loved the Felice Casati and i wouldn't hesitate staying there again and recommending it to others. *Word of Warning if arrived at Milan Central Railway Station: if you are arriving or leaving the station and waiting for a taxi at the rank, beware of the morroccan/gypsy men hanging around and trying to wheel your luggage for you! They tend to prey on lost looking tourists and the area is rife for bag snatches and muggings! It was quite daunting for two girls in our early 20's but we found when approached by these men that saying a firm NO and then following with Non Tocare! (Don't Touch!) and Vai Via! (Go Away!) seems to get rid of them fairly quickly.
