3I stayed in a double room with a friend for 5 nights. I loved that this hotel was so well located near metro stops, and was not too far from the train station by taxi (about 8 eu.) Also it was convenient to Politecnico were my friend had a meeting. The room was TINY, TINY, TINY compared with rooms in Venice, Florence, Rome, Sienna, Amsterdam, Bruges, Vianden, Spa, Namur and even others where I've stayed in Milan....but it was very nicely redecorated and well appointed.
The room had a TINY balcony and everything was new and clean. There was a nice view from the small balcony and the room was quiet. The shower needed tightening, as it was unusable as anything but handheld, but luckily I had a little screwdriver in my bag and I was able to fix it.
Because of the nice decor, be careful if you are planning budget meals from the grocery... food is not permitted in the room...the mini bar was no help either as it offered the smallest selection of the most overpriced beverages I've ever seen anywhere.
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE WONDERFUL HOSTESS, (who was sweet, helpful and always smiling and gave me useful information), the entire staff was unhelpful and almost rude in their "do not disturb me" attitude. My friend needed to use the internet to check his meeting venue and having seen the previous reviews I didn't think this would be a problem, but we were told there was "no cable for the computer"; perhaps "someplace downtown would have something." I hated even asking for the room key from the unhappy, unfriendly front desk men.
I"ve traveled a bit and think I'm not too fussy, but I felt unwelcome and not too comfortable here, (especially at this price for 5 nights). It was pretty and very convenient to Politecnico and the metro however, and probably nice for a day or two business trip.
