If you want a clean, friendly, centrally located, well maintained and reasonably priced hotel that is within spitting distance from one of the main shopping streets of Milan, you could do a lot worse than the Grand Puccini hotel. The rooms are clean (if a little small - but there were 3 of us!), and staff are pleasant and accommodating. I'd definitely stay there again! Avoid the croissants at breakfast though.... definitely not an Italian speciality!

I don't understand how this hotel has become 4 stars. It was absolutely not more than 3 stars. But location is great. Close to the railway station and also to the city center. Important to ask for a quiet room, otherwise you will be disturbed by all the noise 24/7 on Corso Buenos Aires.

I love the hotel and the location-breakfast is OK apart from the tea-the water smells strange!

Very handy location - the metro is just close by and very convenient. You can hear it rumble by reguarly, but that didn't bother us at all. I suspect the vacuming of our room prior to arrival was cursory as I found a toy under the bed and pet hair on the carpet. But the room was cleaned nicely each day otherwise. Don't drink the coffee at the breakfast buffet, unless you like weak dip filter - as the waiters they are happy to make espressos, cappuccinos, hot chocolate etc. (no extra charge) No safe in rooms but they offer a security box service at the hotel desk.
