4When we got to our room, I was quite surprised how nice this hotel was. I have stayed in Best Westerns before, but usually in the U.S., and none of them were as nice as this one. A big double bed, with a nice view of the city street below.
The bathroom was a big small, two people could not be in there at the same time. There was good closet space with a safe, which was a nice feature. The TV was somewhat small, which also had the options for an alarm clock.
The staff was very helpful for the most part. Especially Massimo (I hope I spelled it correctly). His English was very good and he helped us with all the details of the Metro lines and trying to find things around the city.
The complimentary breakfast was ok. A few types of fruit juice, scrambled eggs, several types of breads and yogurt. All of the bread was a bit tough, and the fruit they offered wasn't quite ripe yet. But, for a complimentary breakfast, it was pretty good.
They had said that there was free parking available, but honestly it wasn't true. What I think they meant was if you could find a free space somewhere on the street, then you could park there. But since it was a city street, and Milan is crazy with driving and people can park just about anywhere on the street, all of the street parking is taken up in the first couple of hours of the day. We then had to park in a garage down a different street for a fee. The fee wasn't bad, but the whole things seemed a bit misleading.
