Hotel Canada - Milano, Italy     

Our second stay at the Hotel Canada [1st time being Feb 07] and the room renovations have simply added to our appreciation of the hotel. Was allocated a 7th floor room, and as expected, thoroughly clean with contemporary furniture and wooden flooring. Breakfast [buffet style] in the basement offers pastries, cakes, ham and cheeses, cereals or Bacon and scrambled eggs, along with fruit juices and hot drinks. Extremely adequate for any traveller in Italy and of a good standard. Staff are friendly and helpful, prepared to stop for a chat or answer any questions you may have. A 5-10 min walk to the Duomo area, or 10mins to the Navigli district in the opposite direction. Metro station a 5 min walk from the rear of the Hotel [Missori station]. Recommend Bio Pizza restaurant nearby on Corso Italia for a great Pizza/ pasta option, frequented by locals and hardly any tourists. Great food and atmosphere. Very little English spoken which adds to the fun of ordering.

This hotel is an excellent choice whilst staying in Milan for business or leisure. It is a ten minute walk to the main square and all the sights. The rooms are all recently refurbished and offer excellent and clean contemporary bedrooms and bathrooms. The comprehensive buffet style breakfast offers choices to suit everyone. The staff are wonderful, expecially on front desk - nothing is too much trouble. All in all excellent mid range hotel.
