1.5This hotel had the audacity to list itself as air conditioned, yet in August (during 90+ degree heat), they had the nerve to shut off the air conditioning between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. in the morning and then again at 10 a.m. This forced us to open street-side windows and roast further while listening to sirens and drunks and traffic horns. The hotel claimed if we wanted air 24 hours we would have to pay three times the price quoted. The front desk also recommended using a parking garage next door, but failed to mention that if guests move their cars there at night or in the early morning, they won't be able to get it out all day. It was locked up tight with no phone number to contact, and the hotel front desk said "not our car park, not our problem" )even though they directed us to it). We lost full use of our vehicle for an entire day and had to pay nearly $75 extra dollars to take the train to Lake Como for a planned visit. We also failed to get to Switzerland because of this gross negligence. We fault both the hotel, the garage and Venere for failing to alert us to these two dramatic inconsistencies in what is advertised and what is delivered. We will not use Venere again.
