A quiet hotel which was good value and only a short tram ride from the centre of Milan. Helpful and efficient staff. Not much in the immediate area but a good supermarket (right out of the hotel) and an excellent pizzeria (left) within a kilometre, both recommended by hotel staff.
I should mention that the hotel is quite difficult to find with only a print on the door saying the name of the hotel. Thanks to my fellow senegalese who are quite numerous in Venice helping me find it! The was a foul smell when I first entered the room but then you of course get accustomed. Room was Ok. Had to shower with lukewarm water the evening and icy water the next mornin despite complaining about it to the reception. Receptionist so cute I did not argue a lot while checking out. There's no elevator so beware if you have lots of luggage.
I stayed in Casa Mia for 2 nights and it is very close to Metro. We spent only around 10 -15 mins to walk from the Centrale train station even with luggages. It is just next to Westin and you can imagine the location is really not bad at all.
Staff are helpful and things are clean. Room is bigger than the others when I stayed in Italy (i mean the similar price).
Just one thing is that it is close to the tram station and which is closed at around 12am. So before that you can hear quite clearly the trams pass through when you stayed in the room close to the road side.
Last but not least, the price is very attractive to live in this hotel (with FREE wifi!!!!!) and I would recommend this especially for those who spend short time in Milan.
Hotel was fine for 55Euros however I had stayed in another hotel in Milan for 60Euros the weekend before and it was far superior & included breakfast. I was given a single room right beside the reception & the hotel (on the first floor) has a tiled floor it was not a quiet stay. The reception let me have free internet access and helped me check in online.
Like I said the hotel was OK but The Hotel San Fransisco in Milan was far better value.
