3The hotel Vienna is a budget hotel and is one of the cheapest in Milan which is quite an expensive centre.
The hotel experience was most satisfactory.
Very clean - the rooms cleaned and bedding changed daily. The breakfast is VERY basic - a coffee and brioche only however you can pay extra for a slightly better variety - cereal, yoghurt, toasts, juice, cheeses etc. This also is basic but is cheap and saves hunting in a morning elsewhere.
The staff were most pleasant and very helpful however most had a very limited English conversation (It is Italy - so why should they!!) but hand signals and smiles always work!!
The only negative thing about the hotel is the size of the rooms and beds (comfortable) which are a little on the small size BUT remember the price is very low.
The shower room was cleaned to a high standard and had WC basin and shower - perfect.
The location is just outside the city centre 15 mins by tram. Within 200m of the hotel are trolley bus, tram, bus, metro & MainLine stations/stops. During the day frequency of all services is 6-9 mins!!
Main Line trains stop there (Lambrate) from Bergamo airport and many other distant places.
