Capitol World Class Hotel - Milano, Italy     

I have just returned from a business trip to Milan staying at the Capitol World Class hotel. It's in a very convenient location -only 5 minutes by taxi from the train station where the Malpensa airport express arrives and departs from. The staff at the hotel were all extremely pleasant, friendly & helpful, right from opening the taxi door on arrival to departure. The rooms were clean and comfortable with all the facilities you would expect, if rather on the small side. The buffet breakfast was good . I didn't eat there at other times. The hotel is situated right round the corner from one of the best shopping streets & the number 16 tram stops on the corner too. I preferred to walk to my meetings or catch the tram when too hot. My only complaint, as a previous person has said, was that despite having an air conditioning thermostat in the room, you have no control over it! (Ditto the shower, although the temperature was OK ,if a bit too warm on a very hot day.) I ended up phoning reception at 2am on my first night as I was so hot & uncomfortable - the thermostat said 23C although it felt hotter to me. Reception said they would boost the air-con to maximum but I felt no difference at all. By the second night I reverted to fully opening the window instead & risk the mosquitos - which worked very well, especially as I had asked for a quiet room & was at the back away from the road. It was the birds that woke me up, which was quite pleasant. So, good hotel but PLEASE give the guests control over the temperature in their rooms!!!

worst experience ever. i reserved a room and they overbooked. so when i arrived they told me "a pipe was broken" and they booked me to another hotel - far off - where i had to go (which is disturbing enough after a long day of travel + work). they even made me pay the price difference! i tried to get the money back but the managment did not see any inconvenience in all this at all. if you want to be sure to get a room and be treated professionally - be sure to go somewhere else. the management handled the problem very badly.
