Best Western Hotel Galles - Milano, Italy     

The hotel was perfectly nice, I was quite disappointed to discover that you have to pay to use the sauna, gym and turkish bath as I have never experienced this before and was expecting the facilites to be complimentary. Although there was a lot to choose from on the breakfast buffet, I was very disappointed with the appearance of the hot food and therefore did not want to sample it. We didn't eat an evening meal in the hotel as the prices were rather high and the choices quite limited. I think the fact that we didn't like Milan as a city put a dampener on the whole trip and I am possibly being more negative than I normally would. Overall a lovely, clean hotel, a little noisy but what can you expect with a central location?

Pros - Right in the center of the city; literally steps from the Metro; very clean; large king sized bed (not 2 beds pushed together); very friendly staff; best continental breakfast I've ever had; fantastic rooftop terrace with views of the city Cons - Many hidden costs including parking, the gym, the sauna, laundry etc ..., very small bathroom with no bathtub, the water smells badly so the entire bathroom smelled; room smells like smoke
