3We caught a taxi for 3 after 6pm to the Hotel Ideale for about 10 EUR (about 8 EUR before 6pm) - this was more affordable and convenient for us than catching the bus/metro/tram - it is a 10-15minute car ride to hotel. The hotel is walkable to Corse Buenos Aires for shopping but there is not much else around the hotel to eat or see/do except for 1 restaurant along the main street which served huge delicious pizzas and great risotto - this was where all the locals were as the waiters don't speak English - people were still coming in for dinner even after 10:30pm! Our room was basic and clean, breakfast was ok - croissants were pretty plasticky although had alot of packaged goods like mini wrapped cheeses and biscotti. The hotel seems to be a family run place as there was a baby being rocked to sleep and pet dog inside hotel when we were checking out - had to ask twice for a taxi to be called as the staff on reception seemed more interested in checking some photos on their computer but staff were very friendly overall (especially when we had trouble opening our room door on two occasions!).
