i have prefered more kindness from the people of reception and all my breakfast at the room was stranhe, once without sugar, once without milk...and so on

Very nice and professional welcome, the patio is really nice and relaxing and the brekfast has a large variety of choice. the hotel is in a good location for business travellers as it is close to fiera and easily accessible from the motorway. I will come back!

Io e mia moglie abbiamo alloggiato per 4 notti in questo hotel in corrispondenza di una manifestazione fieristica. L'hotel è stato scelto da noi esclusivamente per la notevole vicinanza alla fiera consci del buon nome della catena albeghiera. Ebbene, possiamo considerarlo senza tema di smentite come la nostra peggiore esperienza degli ultimi 5 anni. 1) Hanno tentato di alloggiarci in una camera di categoria inferiore (un buco per topi) al prezzo di quella superiore a suo tempo prescelta. Dopo le nostre rimostranze e minacce ci è stata cambiata la stanza nella categoria "executive" come risultava dalla nostra prenotazione (dimensioni doppie). 2) L'hotel è semplicemente soffocante con soffitti di 2 metri e mezzo, con corridoi angusti e con finestre bloccate e temperature (da sentirsi male) costanti sui 35° a marzo. 3) Camera ugualmente soffocante. Abbiamo dormito tutte le notti con le due finestre aperte. 4) Le finestre della camera erano prive di tapparelle e conseguentemente con luce fastidiosa alle 5 del mattino. 5) Camera non rifatta alle ore 15 (uscivamo alle 8,30 del mattino). 6) Il ristorante era discreto ma con un tentativo di addebitare sul conto piatti non consumati (un secondo non consumato). 7) Per finire il massimo: garage nello stesso stabile ma a gestione separata. Ebbene, dopo aver pagato il conto comprensivo del garage (€ 25 al giorno) in albergo, quando siamo andati a ritirare l'auto abbiamo dovuto litigare per mezz'ora con il titolare del garage perchè pretendeva che pagassimo un'altra volta 100 € sostenendo che l'hotel con il garage non c'entrava nulla nella sua gestione. 8) Il tutto per € 268 al giorno (prezzo fiera). Ogni altro commento è superfluo per un 4 stelle.

we recently returned from a long weekend stay at the ATA Fiera Hotel in Milan. This hotel is located in a quiet residential area next to Milan's main exhibition centre and is a 10 minute tram ride or 5 minute taxi journey out of Milan's main square. The hotel claims to be a 4-star but unfortunately that description is a touch generous. Our double room (634) was very small and cramped, the wallpaper was peeling slightly, the shower temperature difficult to gauge and parts of the restaurant area on the ground floor hadn't seen a lick of paint or window cleaner for months...perhaps years. The breakfast offered an ample selection of bread, salami, croissants, fruits, albeit all of average quality not quite befitting a 4-star establishment. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and helpful, explaining to me that Tram No 19 (there is a stop right outside the hotel) was the most cost-effective and convenient way of getting to the Piazza Duomo as just sitting in a taxi costs €3.90 during the day and €6.90 at night, even before the journey begins. Finally, for those fond of central heating systems you will enjoy a stay at the Fiera Milan. During what was a pleasant sunny weekend (average temperature 17 degrees) the staff saw fit to keep the heating system on full blast day and night - we had to keep the room windows open to get a comfortable night's sleep. All in all, not the best 4-star hotel I have stayed in but given the limited options in Milan it does the job for a long weekend.
