When booking this hotel we read a number of negative feedbacks on the rude behaviour of the hotel staff. Unfortunately, we decided to disregard these comments (a mistake that we are never going to repeat).
All was well until our check out on 3 May 2009 at 11.00 am. We informed the reception staff that we had consumed 1 small bottle of wine from the mini-bar and 2 small bottles of wine from the bar of the hotel - 12 euro in total; and 1 hour internet - 6 euro. At that point we were told that we had to pay 27 euro (9 euro per person) for breakfast supposedly taken on 1 May 2009. We explained to the staff at the reception that we had not had any breakfast. We checked in very late in the evening on 30 April and slept until almost noon. We were then literally told that we were lying and that we have to pay. Following this, we were shown a book with something scribbled with pencil, apparently stating that this was a proof of consumption. Of course, this was not signed by any of us. This caused further arguments, with the receptionists acknowledging that the book was his and that we could have never seen it previously. I cannot even start to describe the way we were spoken to, we were treated like we were thieves! After some 15 minutes of argument we finally received a bill with the amount of 267 euro - 246 euro for the room, 12 euro wine, 6 euro for internet and 3 euro for a bottle of mineral water the we had never drank but yet we decided to stop arguing and paid thinking that everything was over.
Following this, we left our suitcases in the storage room at the hotel and went for lunch. When we came back to pick our luggage just before going to the airport we could not find our suitcases in the luggage room. While I kept looking for the suitcases, my friend went to the reception to ask for help and saw our suitcases behind the reception desk. We were told that we could not touch our suitcase without their authorisation and this until we pay for the breakfast. As the reception staff was a new shift (two female receptionists while in the morning we talked to two male receptionists) we tried to explain that we already had that discussion and thought everything was clarified. Unfortunately, the two women were as aggressive as the morning staff. When trying to reason with them, my friend was simply told to "shut up". All this was shouted at us.
I would like to point out that this was the first time we had met these two receptionist and yet they were insisting that they had seen us having breakfast. Eventually, we just showed them the paid bill of 267 euro, said that we could not deal with this any longer because we would miss our flights and we left.
At no point during our stay were we ask to sign any bills to our room as it is normally done in hotels. When we ordered a bottle of wine at the bar the bartender just asked for our room number without even asking us to show the key for the room. Without such proof, the staff seem to take the liberty of charging anything they wish on our room.
Never in my life have I been personally insulted in such way. This is something that I simply refuse to accept. The hotel staff behaved like bullies and these are people who are supposed to be customer oriented and friendly. The whole encounter left us feeling extremely upset and stressed.

Really central position, 5 minutes far walking from Milano Central Station and the tube, that was my priority because I had to leave the hotel during the night to go to the airport by bus. The bedroom was big and clean, and the bathroom too. Good relation between price/quality!
