3.4We found the instructions given for getting from the railway station very poor and we had to ask other people for help. The young lady on the desk from 7 am spoke very good English and went out of her way to help us. We have found in general that there is a lack of information in hotel rooms. We have found it difficult to find a grocery shop for example, or some information about local restaurants and public transport instead of having to ask for it.Internet access in our room would have been appreciated and we would have been happy to pay for it. We have found the mini bars totally inadequate as they don't offer the basic things necessasry to make a cup of tea or coffee. In New Zealand hotels provide tea and coffeee making facilities such as an electric jug, mugs and sachets of tea, coffee and sugar. When you arrive you are offered a small carton of milk. This is so very welcoming after many hours of travel.
