Address: Vltavska 11/667, Prague, 6960
Aparthotel City 5 details:  Clean, convenient apartments in the centre of Prague, close to the river, city sights and public transport.

Based in a reconstructed historical building from the early 1900s, these apartments are the ideal base from which to discover this capital city. Located west of the river, and in Prague 5, you are close to the commercial area of Zlaty Andel / Novy Smichov, where you can find shops, bars and restaurants.

A short stroll from the hotel is a constructed 'beach' beside the Vltava. Visit in the summer months to swim in the outdoor pool.

You are south of the popular and picturesque Mala Strana, with its quaint side streets and baroque square. Stay west of the river for Prague Castle at Hradcany. Alternatively, catch the metro at Andel station to find yourself transported into the old town, with its many memorable sights.

Aparthotel City 5 is a fully reconstructed four floor house with a lift.

There is contract parking for our clients at a guarded non-stop parking lot next to the bus station Na Knizeci, which is about 100m from the hotel. Parking is CZK 120 per car, per day.

There is also free WiFi internet access.

Apartments are suitable for families, and an amply equipped creche is located in the entrance lounge.

We stayed here 1 July - 4 July for a city break. The room was very clean and spacious (and included a safe). The breakfast was good - a selection of cereals, toast, ham, cheese, yoghurt etc (at a cost of 200 koruna each). Gastone and Khristina (the owners?) were extremely helpful and friendly. We felt the main sites of Prague were easily walkable, taking about 20-30mins, depending on where you wanted to go. Whilst there was were some local restaurants and bars near to the aparthotel, none of these were that suitable for a romantic meal. To walk back to the aparthotel from the main Prague sites just to walk back into town for a meal was a bit too far for comfort - there are trams and the metro nearby though if you wanted to do this. All in all I this was a good place to stay and would return.

Right after checking in, we left to tour the castle. Gastone, a manager of the hotel, had (seemingly) nicely helped us plan our castle visit. About 10 minutes after we left, we realized we had forgotten our guidebook. My husband returned to get it, I stayed behind with the kids, and he found Gastone in our room, bending over our open suitcase, with his hands in our clothes. He had a story about the nearby window needing his attention, but he could have accessed this window without touching the suitcase, let alone the contents of the suitcase. And the bottom line is, it is marked on the inside of the door of our room that no one will be in our room at any time, so why was he, 10 minutes after we left? It is his hotel, he should know his own rules. He had ample opportunity to 1) check out the window before our arrival, or 2) ask when we checked in if he could look at the window. This incident, whether a terrible coincidence or not, ruined our stay in Prague.
