Location

There are many fun things for families, singles and couples to do in Seal Beach, California. One of California's old fashioned beach towns is a feel-good place where you can shop in unique boutiques, art galleries and gift stores, dine on all kinds of snacks, coffee and cinnamon rolls or enjoy a full meal. Seal Beach activities include windsurfing with one of the few launch facilities in Orange County. In the region where these surfers launch, surfers also love to catch waves near the Seal Beach jetty , where guests also fish. One of the favorite activities is the beach. This family-oriented beach offers a fantastic playground overlooking the sand. It's an enclosed play area for smaller children and is ideal because the ocean is within view.

As soon as we entered the room were were like "WOW!!!' Now its possible we had a wheelchair accessible room because it was so large but that being said it was CLEAN. The bathroom door was a unique frosted sliding glass door and the little trinkets in the bathroom were a cute Polynesian /bamboo theme. We were on the 3rd floor and the continental breakfast kitchen was by far superior to a lot of hotels i've stayed at. The pool in the lovely atrium was a little on hte small side but we werent there to swim. I am going back this weekend for another pleasure/business trip. I will see if my 2nd visit was as nice as my first.

We stayed at the hotel primarily for the Seal Beach location. My impression is that the hotel has been upgrading the facilities, though some are still a little rough around the edges. For example our room was clean enough, but the mattresses could use replacing, as could the carpet. The hot tub was nice, but the pool really needed to have the multiple leaves and flies skimmed off. We noticed this the night we checked in. I figured they'd clean it before opening the pool in the morning but no such luck. I mentioned this to the front desk in the morning but they hadn't cleaned it prior to us checking out. There is free breakfast which is adequate but nothing special. The breakfast room is very plain and could use some upgrades. I believe all the rooms have balconies. Unfortunately, as the hotel is in a residential neighborhood, there are no views. Overall, the place is adequate, though nothing special.
