Location
Capo Colonna (20 km) - The ruins of the ancient temple of Heara Lacinia, once composed of 16 Golden Age columns. Hannibal visited this site before returning to Africa after the defeats suffered by Romans. Until the beginning of the 17th century, the temple was well preserved, until a devastating earthquake in 1638 destroyed its 16 columns. Currently only one column overhangs the edge of Capo Lacinia, so called Capo Colonna (Head Column).
