Hotel Colomba details: The multilingual staff of our 18th century hotel in the heart of Florence provide traditional Tuscan hospitality in a friendly, smoke-free establishment with spacious rooms including free wireless internet access.

Our rooms can accommodate families and groups. White walls and tiled floors throughout help to keep the hotel bright and cool. 7 of the 14 rooms have wonderful views overlooking the city. All of them are soundproofed and have satellite TV and air conditioning.

When its time to relax, the library and reading room have an abundance of books, magazines and tourist guides for you to peruse, as well as an internet point, and the hotel bar lounge is open 24 hours a day.

A varying and vast breakfast buffet, served every morning, gives you the chance to fuel up on your choice of a sweet or savoury breakfast with Italian coffees and fruit juices.

I stayed at the Hotel Columba with a friend in October and we had a terrific experience with Rosanna and Michel, who own and run the Hotel. They welcomed us early on the day of arrival and they assisted us with maps and suggestions for obtaining tickets to museums. The hotel location is excellent for many sights and markets within Florence. The morning breakfast was perfect for getting the day started in their cozy breakfast room. Rosanna treats everyone like a guest in her home and the value can not be beat. I would highly recommend the Hotel Columbo to couples, friends, and families visiting Florence.

Rosanna and her family take the best care of you in this hotel! From the spacious rooms to the wonderful breakfasts, my family was treated like royalty here. The hotel is located by the train station - you can walk to the hotel but we chose to take a cab given our luggage (cab ride was not very expensive). The hotel is also located on a quiet street. Rosanna made dinner reservations for us, and made several recommendations on the various sites in the city. You can't go wrong with this hotel!
