Location

The culture and traditions of Carloforte are fascinating fields of study for anthropologists and experts in folk culture and traditions. Very few populations have conserved their traditions and culture so well as the people of San Pietro have. The culture of the island is antique and largely isolated from external influences, while at the same time bearing signs of an extraordinary and fascinating mixture of Ligurian Tunisian and Sardinian influences.
For centuries the local population hav preserved the language and traditions of their ancient homeland, Liguria. Part of the population are still involved in maritime activities such as fishing, boat building, repairing nets and ferry services. In summer tourism is an increasingly important part of the local economy.
The particular specific aspects of this historic heritage can be seen in the folklore, the festivals, the costumes and the warm attitude towards visitors. The history, the flourishing nature and the pristine environment mean that there is no fear of being bored as one explores a truly special and unique land and culture.

Each room has a seperate entrance and has a private bathroom , a shower, a phon, a fridge-bar, satellite TV, telephone and air-conditioning. The rooms are very quiet and simply but comfortably furnished.

A third bed can be provided in each room on request.

The hotel restaurant serves traditional dishes, and the menu is a mixture of the best local cuisine from Carlo Forte and Sardinian and Italian dishes.

The authentic taste of these local specialities is enhanced by combining them with the appropriate locally produced wines from the island.

The fully air-conditioned restaurant can seat 120 guests in comfort in all seasons of the year.
