Ojo, no funciona como hotel en la noche sino como apartamento

El principal problema es que el palazzo ruspoli no funciona como hotel entre las 21hs y las 8 hs del dia siguiente. Te dan las llaves de la puerta de entrada, muy pesada por cierto, y las llaves de la puerta del piso de tu habitacion. La sensacion de entrar a las 23 hs al edificio es la de un edificio de oficinas comerciales vacio. La primera habitacion que nos ofrecieron no le funcionaba el WC y la caja de seguridad tampoco. Las habitaciones son amplias, pero en verano no se soporta el calor porque los equipos de aire acondicionado son de pocas frigorias para el tamaño de las habitaciones. En la puerta tienen una nota diciendo que cualquier problema que se tenga durante la noche, cuando la recepcion esta cerrada, se puede recurrir a la recepcion del hotel Fenice Palace, pero eso es totalmente falso, ya que en ese hotel desconocen cualquier vinculacion con el Palazzo Ruspoli, o sea que es falso que tengan la administracion compartida. En suma, durante la noche, de las 21 hs hasta las 8 hs estan sin proteccion de ninguna especie ante cualquier inconveniente.

Ojo con el engaño de la recepcion

Se trata de un hotel que no tiene recepción de 21:00 hs a 7:00 del dìa siguiente. Lo que enoja es que en la puerta, hay un cartel que dice que durante la noche si hay algun inconveniente hay que dirigirse al hotel Fenice Palace, justo en frente del Ruspoli, para ser asistidos. Por la noche me dirigí a dicho hotel y me dijeron que es mentira que ellos no tienen siquiera las llaves del Palazzo Rúspoli y que no brindan ningun tipo de asistencia. Durante la noche, no se pueden recibir llamados telefónicos por lo cual si dejas el teléfono a tu familia no te pueden ubicar. Te debes manejar con las llaves de todo el hotel, tú debes abrir las puertas de entrada que son de madera muy pesadas y, en mi caso personal, no podía abrirlas, debía hacerlo mi esposo. La habitación que nos dieron fue muy grande, con aire acondicionado insuficiente y la atmósfera estaba pesada y asfixiante. Realmente en lo personal, una mala experiencia.

Charming, great service and location

Stayed for the weekend in this charming hotel. I chose this hotel because it looked charming, centrally located at the same time easy to get to from the ring road. You can park your car for a few minutes in front of the hotel when you arrive and check in. Then they will call the garage to pick it up. When you enter the city center, you will see street cameras because the zone is ZTL zona traficco limitato - the hotel will take your plate number and they will call the ZTL authorities to cancel your 'ticket' for entering the city. The 24 hour parking is about 25Euros which is standard for most Florence central hotels, you can extend for a few hours where they charge about an additional 2.5Euro per hour. Our room was nicely decorated - like an old palazzo and we had a view of the cathedral. I liked the interior of the breakfast room as well, breakfast was basic. The most I liked about this hotel was the service staff. They were also very nice to let us keep our room free of charge until 3PM since it was still the low season. If you are sensitive to noise, do ask for a room at the back, you wont get a view but it will shield you from the street noise and from the bar across the street. Regarding the 'smell' in the elevator foyer from other reviews, it never bothered us as it was hardly noticeable. If I had not read the reviews, I wouldnt even know it was there. Location was also great, right beside the duomo, close to everything. Overall, great value, nice experience.
