Well, we've just returned from a four night stay in Florence, at the Hotel Angelica. If you are looking for a small, friendly, clean and pleasant hotel, then this is the place for you! It is a ten minute walk to the hub of the city, no problem for the reasonably fit. The hotel rooms are plain, but very clean, with an excellent bathroom and shower. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Good English spoken. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would have no problem in recommending this hotel. Enjoy!

This family-owned and -run hotel is excellent. We were able to walk from and to the train station nearby--as well as to the duomo, the river and the marketplace. The owners are friendly, welcoming and extremely accommodating. The rooms were good, the breakfast delicious, and the owners helpful. They made dinner reservations for us for two nights, and they were both good, moderately-priced restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. A real family atmosphere. Wonderful!
