Travel information

From the Santa Maria Novella train station:
- After getting off of the train, turn left, exit the station and cross the street.
- Make a right.
- Turn left into Via Nazionale.
- Continuing straight ahead you will see, to your left, a large tree-lined square. You are in Piazza Indipendenza. Crossing the square you will arrive at the Hotel Donatello, parallel to Via Nazionale, at street number 23.

From the Airport:
The Florence Airport (Amerigo Vespucci) is 5 km away from the center of the city. You can easily reach the hotel in a taxi or with any of the bus lines that arrive at the Santa Maria Novella central train station.

By car:

From the south:
- Take the A1 motorway.
- Exit at Firenze-Sud.
- Follow directions for Viali di Circonvallazione (Ring Roads).
- Once you’ve arrived in Piazza della Libertà, take Via Lorenzo il Magnifico.
- Take the second turning on your left, then continue straight ahead until you arrive in Via Santa Caterina d’Alessandria.
- To your right you will see a tree-lined square, Piazza Indipendenza. To reach the front of the hotel, take the first right and then turn right again. The hotel is street number 23.

From the north:
- Take the A1 motorway.
- Exit at Firenze-Nord.
- Follow the directions for Viali di Circonvallazione (Ring Roads).
- After passing Viale Strozzi and the Fortezza da Basso, you will find yourself in Viale Spartaco Lavagnini; turn right at the first traffic light into Via Santa Caterina d’Alessandria.
- To your right you will see a tree-lined square, Piazza Indipendenza. To reach the front of the hotel, take the first right and then turn right again. it is located at street number 23.
