Florence is world renowned for it's art and culture including:
- The Medici Chapel: found in The San Lorenzo, this private chapel was owned by the Medici's, one of the most powerful families in Florence during the 15th century.
- Santa Maria del Fiore: known as The Duomo, the domed cathedral of the city is arguably the most famous site in Florence.
- The Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge): first constructed by the Etruscans in ancient times, this bridge is the only one in the city to have survived World War II intact.

From the airport:
Amerigo Vespucci Airport is 5 kilometers (about 3 miles) from the hotel. So it is possible to reach the Relais di Lorenzo:
- By taxi in approximately 15 minutes
- By shuttle to S.M. Novella train station and then a 10-minute taxi ride;
It is also possible to arrange for transportation service from the airport.
From the station:
From the Santa Maria Novella central train station it is possible to reach Relais di Lorenzo:
- By taxi in less than 10 minutes
- By bus on line 1 in the direction of Piazza della Libertà
It is also possible for the hotel to arrange transportation from the station.
By car:
- take the A1
- exit at Firenze Nord.
- follow signs for Centro - Viali di Circonvallazione (beltway),
- follow signs for Fortezza da Basso and Piazza della Libertà (in the direction of Fiesole – Stadio)
- once you have arrived at the Piazza della Libertà, enter the square and keep to the left at the first set of traffic lights.
- at the next traffic light, turn left and get in the right lane at the following light
- go straight on Via Lorenzo il Magnifico for 50 metres (approximately 55 yards).
- The Relais di Lorenzo is on the right.
Alternatively:
- take the A1
- exit at Firenze Sud
- follow signs for Centro – Viali di Circonvallazione (beltway),
- stay on the beltway following directions to the Stazione.
- you will come to a large square (Piazza della Libertà) surrounded by arcades, at the traffic lights going into the square, stay in the centre lane and then move to the right as you leave the square
- after 30 metres (approximately 33 yards) you will be on Via Lorenzo il Magnifico
- go straight on Via Lorenzo il Magnifico for 50 metres (approximately 55 yards).
- The Relais di Lorenzo is on the right.
