Hotel San Lorenzo - Florence, Italy

On arrival there was confusion as to how to reach the hotel for registration before making our way to the B&B which was in the next block over. The person we encountered for registration was very disinterested however a different person made checking out a much nicer experience. Room was small and required a long overdue spring clean and updating. The Bathroom was adequate but again the cleanliness was questionable. Location wise the B&B couldn't have been better with all sights in walking distance and the market right across the piazza. When we return to Florence we will explore other accommodation before using this B&B again.

We looooooove San Lorenzo. Except that the double bed is not a double but a twin. Quite hard to sleep as a couple. The breakfast is very basic - just cornflakes and croissant with jam and some coffee.

Overall it was very good value for money and lively location plus 10min from station - receptionist was a bit cold and wanted me to pay up front but they were very helpful and efficient. Breakfast was also free as it said not included in the price.

the location was great, and people were fairly nice. But the room was awful, tiny- even by European standards, and never completely clean. We had some sort of bugs, fleas or mosquitos- we never saw them but woke up each morning with bites. If you are only concerned with location- this is hard to beat. But if you wan a comfy place to take an afternoon nap, keep looking.
