We spent 2 nights. the hôtel is invaded by teenager students and italian families : they are very very noisy until 1 oclock in the night and early. The bathroom is ugly. The shower is on the floor so all is wet. The room has no decoration except one painting. The "restaurant" for the breakfast is like a school restaurant : big and noisy ! How is it possible that this hôtel is rated 3 stars ??? 1 star is enough for the garden inside. Don't go !

The hotel is very well located and despite the buildding is quite old, the rooms and public areas are clean and comfortable. There's a garden by the dining room and the employees are competent and charming. Very good quality/price rate. I would surely come back.

Très bonne adresse. Bel hôtel fort bien situé et calme. Petit-déjeuner copieux. Spendide grand jardin intérieur, mais dont nous n'avons pu profiter pendant notre séjour très hivernal. Prix très très correct (mais nous avons profité du prix "basse saison", sauf la nuit du 31 janvier). Une bonne adresse: nous y reviendrons!

Stayed at the Castri in April of 2008. The staff was pleasant enough, but the rooms looked like a cheap motel. This hotel is in bad need of a rehab. The furniture, the fixtures, and the carpets, all worn, cheap and sometimes broken. Don't spend too much on this place. For tightwads only. The breakfast was decent, though. Rolls, cornetti, jellies, ham slices, cheese slices, coffee, milk, cereals, juices, and fruits. The location was pretty decent. Fairly close to the train station, but a good walk from the Ponte Vecchio.
