Walk distance to major sight. Best of everything, near the famous restaurant il latini just cross the bridge, if you don't want to pay alot of money for hotels this is the best way to go. The rooms are huge!!! It was a palace long time ago! Near everything and parking near too. Clean and the stuff is pretty nice and very helpful with info. Very quiet. We stayed 5 nights and were very satisfied with the room. There is no breakfast provided, but we were aware of this beforehand. Management recommended a very good local cafe, Marion's, just around the corner from the Mansions - we went each morning as we were given such a good welcome. Very reasonable prices. The Mansions are situated about 15 minutes (very pleasant) walk to Florence's major sites and venues. I would highly recommend the Mansions and will return there on our next stay in Florence.

My first stay and I would happily return. Warm welcome, spacious room, terrific value and an easy walk from the train station SMN. Don't miss a dinner at the nearby Trattoria Carmine.

It was a quick stay but really enjoyed it. The room was ready when we arrived and the staff are very welcoming. The place is beautifully located and most shops and historical places are at walking distance. Just 5 mins away from the S.ta Maria Novella train station. If you are a good walker and do not have many luggage you may even walk from the Train Station to the place. I will definetely recommend this property in future. January 2009
