What Travellers Like
- From the moment we arrived at Hotel David, the staff were extremely helpful, including offering suggestions for sightseeing, making reservations to tourist attractions and general information about Florence. The bedroom was large, well furnished and located towards the back so there was no traffic noise. The bathroom was also large, clean and modern. Hotel David is located across the river near Ponte S Niccolo, but bus routes in the adjacent streets provide easy access to the museums and other attractions, however it is also a short, pleasant walk along the river.. Posted: Nov 03, 2008 - We found the staff to be incredibly helpful, warm and friendly. Again the staff was very helpful and accomadating. It is a 15 minute walk to many of the sites downtown, but there is a bus and the walk is beautiful along the Arno river.. Read review

Posted: May 27, 2006 - member - The e-mail had been noted and they had been allocated double with bathtub with shower on same floor as breakfast room, while we were in the triple above (shower only). From the moment of arrival onwards all the staff were friendly and helpful, on one occasion even looking up (unasked) curent opening times for the cathedral and printing them off for us. We only took bus once to get to Accademia in time to join queue to pick up reserved tickets. We ate 3 nights at the trattoria L'Orologio across the road (next to bus-stop): good choice for lighter supper or full meal. The last night we walked to Gigli (recommended by hotel): slightly more expensive (mainly full meals).. Read review
Posted: Apr 15, 2005 - Lynda - Rooms were large and airy and ours even had a balcony with table and chairs overlooking the gardens. The Hotel facilities were excellent including breakfast restaurant and lounge area. Free Wine and nibbles are laid out each evening in the lounge and really is appreciated after a hard day walking, seeing the sights of beautiful Florence. Staff are friendly and courteous and do everything with a smile.. Read review
