Hotel Alessandra is a very comfortable, reasonably priced hotel to stay while visiting Florence. Steps from the Ponte Vecchio, the hotel is convenient to many restaurants and sites. It's on a rather quiet street. You must go up a flight of steps before getting to the elevator, (teeny tiny) and then have the possibility of going up or down more steps. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff at Hotel Alessandra is extremely helpful. I would recommend this hotel for people who are not turned off by small bathrooms, and steps. Although not a 3 star hotel, served our purpose in Florence.

Fabulous location and beautiful spacious rooms and baths. The front desk professionals were helpful and friendly. This is a charming hotel will tall ceilings, large rooms, antique furniture, and hardwood floors. We had the Junior Suite overlooking the Arno (well, it had a view of the Arno) and for awhile we had the Junior Suite with the Balcony with the view of the Arno. Nothing is more than a 5 or 10 minute walk from the hotel.
