It is with in a comfortable walking distance, from the train station, even if your wife overpacks like mine. The room was very large, well appointed and had a beautiful balcony with a great view of downtown.. Read review

The room had a balcony which overlooked a lovely garden courtyard. Our daily breakfast buffet was excellent and the service was attentive and professional. I'm not sure if the older rooms are as nice, but I would not hesitate to stay here again if I were given the same room.. Read review

Posted: Sep 09, 2005 - member - We were greeted, whisked through check-in, and shown to a huge room with a small balcony overlooking the pool. The room had modern decor, a flatscreen TV, sleek built in wardrobes/ closets, and an enormous bathroom with excellent power shower. The concierge took care of our every need, booking us in to 3 excellent restaurants each night that perfectly fulfilled our requests (one night we said romantic and got a restaurant right on the river overlooking the Ponte Vecchio). For the price, the Grand Hotel Villa Medici exceeded our every expectation of room, service, and value.. Read review
