Our room was clean, quiet, and looked a little worn. I liked the quality moldings, doors, and fixtures. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The free breakfast was outstanding. Even better was the dinner meal we ate in their restaurant. Our kind waiter let us two old ladies SHARE a T-bone steak, salad, French fries, and dessert.

You'll get a better bench and friendlier people in the train station around the corner than service and a comfortable bed in this hotel. The Hotel Albani was the worst of the worst that we found traveling with another family and children throughout Italy. Hotel smelled moldy from rain flooded basement. Had to carry bags up -- and down -- three flights of stairs because the elevator was out and no one -- repeat no one -- from the hotel offered to assist. And the hotel refused to honor advanced payment/reservation for upgraded rooms. Instead, the front desk clerk threatened to call the police if I didn't stop asking about the room rate/reservation. Staff is mean as dirt. Don't count on your food at breakfast at the Hotel Albani. It was all we could do to get a cup of coffee because the breakfast buffet ran out of food so often. Enjoy your vacation -- stay in another hotel where the staff is friendly and the hotel honors its reservation.
